The Mortar Launcher Simulator (TMP-81MSD) helps train Warfighters on locating a mortar base, responding correctly to mortar attacks, and recognizing that strikes can occur anywhere at anytime.

Realistic Training

The VISMOD design of the Mortar Launcher Simulator makes it ideal for OPFOR use. The 15- foot-high smoke signature, realistic form factor and, explosive effects help personnel recognize the visual and audible signature of a real mortar attack. The Simulator can be quickly relocated and configured for continuous evasion and attack scenarios, resulting in accelerated instruction and retention.

Flexible & Adaptable

The 81mm Mortar Launcher Simulator supports a variety of training scenarios, including OPFOR ambush, cache or building search, convoy operations, and search and destroy missions.
Training is enhanced further by using the device in conjunction with the Long Range Wireless Detonator (TMP-RT01K4), Medium IED Trainer (TMP-120FT), and Large IED Trainer (TMP-155FT) to simulate the impact of the mortar with the visual and audible signs.

Direct Contact

Unlike pyrotechnic devices, the Mortar Launcher Simulator allows for direct contact without harming individuals in the area. The smoke is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
